Engineering Technician

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and design support.
• Assemble and construct system assemblies.
• Conduct test and debug electronic or electrical designs.
• Assist with organization, checking of documentation for equipment.
• Assist in review of manuals for equipment.
• Requisition parts and/or materials for projects.
• Prepare drawings and/or sketches, wire list and parts list.
• Review and correct documentation for projects.
• Maintains and upgrades testing equipment.
• Repairs and troubleshoot electronic, electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
• Technical support of field equipment.
• Program PLC and HMI.
• Program AC/DC drives.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-year technical degree and/or equivalent experience in the related field preferred.
• 3 years' experience in a field support role is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of technical ability.
• Ability to solve complex problems and to relate to technical knowledge to specific applications.
• Domestic and international travel.
• Must be able to lift minimum 50lbs.
• Must be able to stand in uncomfortable positions for some periods of time.
• Must be able to work in varied weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable getting dirty, and/or working in manufacturing areas.
• Must be comfortable working at heights/manlifts.
