POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Chemical Injection Technician is responsible for the building, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated chemical pump systems and related equipment in the field. This role ensures that all chemical pumping systems operate efficiently and safely, adhering to industry standards and company policies.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and set up chemical pumps and associated systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Adjust pumps to ensure precise flow rates and accurate chemical dosing.
  • Clean stainless steel injection points.
  • Conduct pressure tests on systems to verify their safety.
  • Perform regular maintenance on chemical pumps, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing parts.
  • Identify and resolve pump malfunctions and system issues.
  • Replace faulty parts and components to restore system functionality.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials properly, following regulations.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Promptly report any issues or incidents to supervisors.
  • Create comprehensive service reports and documentation.
  • Offer technical support to customers on pump operation and maintenance.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and staff on using and maintaining chemical pumps.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and supplies.
  • Order necessary parts and materials promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing chemical pumps or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Proficient in using tools and equipment required for pump maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and parts.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, and bending.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
