As a Barback, you will help support the bartenders with anything and everything behind the bar. You’ll be responsible for maintaining stock, assisting during service and providing go-to support for all your bartenders’ needs.
What you'll do:
- Prepare the bar by cutting, slicing, and peeling perishable garnishes and fruits, mixing and pouring juices, and storing backup supplies in prescribed containers
- Check with and assist the bartender to stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
- Retrieve needed items from the storeroom, visually check stock and reconcile with written requisitions to ensure order accuracy and re-check stock upon delivery
- Wash thoroughly and store properly all small measuring/mixing/serving equipment, trays, and tray stands.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area, refrigerators, and storage areas in accordance with health and company codes
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year barback experience in a full-service restaurant
- Strong verbal and listening communication skills required
- Excellent customer service and people skills required
- Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
- Active TABC certification required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of being on your feet per shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
