Description

  

We are seeking a Receptionist at our downtown Norfolk, Virginia wealth management firm.  This team member must demonstrate business maturity as the important first point of contact for visitors and clients while providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. 


This position requires a dedicated presence in the downtown Norfolk, Virginia office five days a week. 


Position responsibilities:     

  • Professionally answer all incoming calls and direct the caller to the appropriate employee
  • Transfer a caller to voicemail when the employee is unavailable
  • Greet clients/guests in a professional, friendly and hospitable manner and directs them to the appropriate location
  • Provide callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website, and other related information
  • Receive, sort and forward incoming mail 
  • Maintain and route publications
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.) 
  • Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies 
  • Assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing and filing
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Requirements

  

Essential skills and experience:

  • 1 – 3 years of related customer service experience 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities 
  • Strong client orientation
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 
  • Business maturity while working proactively in a client-focused environment
  • Must have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
  • Strong team player
  • Commitment to company values
