ACH Child and Family Services is seeking an intern to support the Chief of Staff in advancing strategic initiatives and evaluating agency-wide programs that serve children and families. This position offers meaningful exposure to executive leadership, systems-level decision-making, and social services. The intern will play a key role in reviewing program outcomes, conducting research, and contributing to special projects that align with ACH’s mission to protect children and preserve families. This opportunity is ideal for a graduate student in public health or a related field with a strong interest in strategic planning, nonprofit operations, and child and family well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Chief of Staff in monitoring and analyzing program performance, client outcomes, and strategic initiatives
- Assist with data-informed decision making by synthesizing public health literature and best practices
- Prepare research, reports, and presentation materials to inform internal stakeholders
- Help coordinate cross-departmental efforts and track progress on high-priority projects
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of initiatives related to community health, advocacy, or social impact
- Attend selected cross-functional meetings and assist with follow-up and documentation
- Conduct policy scans or internal reviews that help advance organizational priorities related to client health, outcomes, and/ or service equity
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Current enrollment in a Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Public Administration (MPA), or related program
- Strong interest in child welfare, public health systems, and nonprofit leadership
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Comfort working with outcome data, logic models, or basic evaluation tools
- Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information
- Ability to manage multiple projects with a detail-oriented, proactive mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data visualization or reporting tools a plus
