The VP of Operations will provide overall vision, planning, direction and engagement to behavioral health regions with the focus on operational performance in meeting strategic initiatives. The VP will provide mentoring and support to behavioral health site-managers, leadership and staff, in addition, to setting expectations that will promote high standards of client care. Responsible for the monitoring and execution of budgetary expectations that will generate strong and sustainable operating and financial outcomes. Foster a culture of client and family centered care, service, quality and safety excellence, while improving client experience, employee experience and community relations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Commitment to the Team Based Care Approach and implementation/oversight of corresponding clinical and operational initiatives.
- Client Experience and Engagement Champion, driving all operational initiatives for region in partnership with all other departments’ leadership.
- Leads, develops, mentors, and engages a team of leaders to execute operational strategy. Responsible for driving performance and coaching/development objectives.
- Participate in the development, implementation and accountability of operational project initiatives, goals and objectives from beginning to completion.
- Analyze systems and procedures and initiate changes to improve work flow and efficiency.
- Fosters a metrics driven culture, ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of direct reports align with overall strategic goals and objectives of Centennial.
- Heavily involved in budget adherence, responsible for executing a productivity focus for each clinical region from a business perspective.
- Collaborate with CFO on budgets, including forecasts of revenue and expenditures, workload, requirements for staff, space, equipment and support services to assure financial viability and to fulfill the clinics’ goals and objectives in a coordinated, effective and efficient manner.
- Analyze financial reports monthly to ensure operational revenue and expenditures are aligned by budget objectives for each of the clinics within region.
- Drives the execution of key Operational objectives of ; quality, people, and growth initiatives
- Ensures the optimization of available resources
- Conducts meetings that are highly productive with operational leadership to allow for creativity and open forum discussion regularly; with proper minutes taken.
- Meet regularly with Chief Operations Officer and attend meetings as required.
- Approve and monitor clinic and staff hours daily, weekly and to ensure proper staffing recommendations are made at the Site Coordinator level and staff costs are within operational budget expectations.
- Provide operational oversite and support to Site Coordinators and all other leadership to include medical providers.
- Directly support Site Coordinator leadership in their growth and development, helping them set goals and address operational opportunities within their supported areas.
- Ensures administrative and clinical staff demonstrate highly proficient compliant use of electronic technology for scheduling, delivery, and documentation of Center services.
- Motivate team members to resolve conflicts with a resolution outcome.
- Advises Site Coordinators remotely, and in person as necessary, on employee relations and on discipline and termination procedures.
- Interpret center and corporate policies, objectives and operational procedures to regional operations leadership and staff.
- Consult with medical staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Maintain professional affiliations and enhance professional development to keep pace with the trends in health care administration.
- Cultivate a culture for client experience that focuses on quality excellence in customer service while supporting the provider’s needs within the organization.
- Ensure high degree of client satisfaction within the clinics.
- Maintains a constructive working relationship between and among employees at all levels of the organization.
- Develop initiative, motivation and positive morale within the center staff.
- Assist in developing marketing plans which include assisting with the development of the Centennial’s outreach strategy, promotion of the clinics and their professionals.
- Responsible directing and monitoring collaboration efforts with operational staff with local business and human service agencies within region to promote strong community partnership relationships and referral pathways.
- All travel and expenses will be accounted for as per CMHC policy.
- Traveling of regions must be apparent and visibly on at least a quarterly basis for leadership oversite.
Education and Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or related is required, Masters preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in an operations role with five (5) direct leadership responsibility of multiple locations.
- High sense of urgency required for this fast-paced environment
- Proven excellence and experience leading, mentoring and developing site-level leadership.
- Experience managing and implementing transformational business or strategy projects

Working Conditions and Physical Environment:
- Work is performed mostly remote due to travel of regional on-site visit required. Work requires sitting and driving for long periods. Frequent standing and walking for prolonged periods, as well as some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
