Job Description
Under the general direction of the Director of Health Information Management (HIM), this position serves the key role in the overall support and optimization of HIM applications of the hospital’s Electronic Health Record system. The HIM Applications Analyst will support testing, new versions, system upgrades and new applications to ensure accurate results with minimal impact to end users. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating the DCS process, oversight of the ROI process, and patient portal management.
Qualifications
What is required...
- RHIA or RHIT credentialed, or currently enrolled in a Health Information Management program approved by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
- If currently enrolled in HIM program, must obtain credential within six months of completing the program.
- 3 years of HIM/medical records experience in an acute care hospital setting.
What is preferred...
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with HIM automated systems in a network environment is preferred.
Additional Information
Wage Range: Wage range starts at $36.50/hour and goes up to $55.32/hour. Wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00a-4:30p
