Fast paced cardiology practice. Candidate will assist with rooming patients for visit with provider. Obtain vitals, this includes manual blood pressures and EKG. Reconcile medications in EMR system and place orders. Candidate will assist with other duties (ie: answering phones, scheduling appointments, check in/ check out, calling patients with results, prescription refills, prior authorizations, and placing of Holter Monitors and Six Minute Walks).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs and interprets EHS under the direct supervision of supervisors.
- Review charts prior to beginning test. Discusses concerns with physicians.
- Educates, listens, and responds to patients' needs during testing.
- Assists with back office duties as needed within the practice.
- Communicates patient results under physician.
- Uses the electronic medical record as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and processes.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Knowledge in EKG’s, certification preferred.
- CPR (BLS) certification is required.
Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
