Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Transportation Specialist based out of Wakefield, VA. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of heavy equipment using a lowboy trailer, supporting operations across multiple job sites. Class A CDL is required. 3-5 years experience transporting heavy equipment and operating a haul or lowboy is required to be considered for this role.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct reports.
Essential Functions:

Complies with all federal DOT requirements

Uses electronic logging devices (ELDs) to track hours of service and maintain compliance with DOT regulations.

Tracks time and job activity using AMS (Asset Management System) for accurate reporting and accountability.

Possesses working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations

Experienced in operating a lowboy trailer with wide, heavy, and tall loads

Conducts thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections

Operates equipment for safe loading and unloading

Ensures all loads are properly secured

Adheres to all safety protocols during transport

Verifies and obtains required permits for each load

Maintains accurate documentation and communicates effectively
Travel Requirements:

Required education and experience:

Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
