Junior Buyer

Winpak Films Inc. is seeking a Jr. Buyer to join our Purchasing Department based out of Senoia, GA on a full-time, day shift schedule. In this role, you will support our procurement team by assisting in the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of materials and services critical to our operations. As a key part of the supply chain, you will help ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing that aligns with company standards and supports ongoing production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process purchase orders and communicate order requirements to suppliers via phone, email, and online platforms.
• Monitor order status to ensure on-time delivery and review order confirmations for accuracy in products, pricing, and freight terms.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies related to materials and services.
• Support inventory management by tracking packaging, additives, and other materials to prevent delays or obsolescence.
• Maintain and update vendor files, including compliance with company and ISO 9001 standards.
• Assist with sourcing materials for new business development and support Customer Service with external orders.
• Generate and distribute purchasing reports to management and provide backup support to the Buyer as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree required.
• 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with high computer aptitude.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong organizational ability.
• Basic math and negotiating skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using MRP systems or inventory control software.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 compliance or audits.
• Exposure to a manufacturing or production environment.

Additional Details:

• Shift: Full-time, day shift (Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day) with occasional overtime.
• Work Environment: Primarily office-based with light noise levels; occasional warehouse visits to monitor inventory.
• Physical Demands: Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.; frequent use of hands, bending, stooping, and overhead reaching.
• Travel: Occasional local travel for supplier audits and ISO-related visits.
