SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, a company within the BSNC family is currently seeking a qualified Recreation Specialist in El Paso, TX at the El Paso Processing Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Plan and organize recreation programs within compliance requirements

•Study and identify recreational needs and resources

•Schedule use and maintenance of facilities

•Perform other related duties, as assigned

•Abide by Standards within Performance Based National Detention Standards (PBNDS revised 2016), and any subsequent modifications made to the standards.

•Abide by American Correctional Association Standards (ACA)

•Report Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) incidents immediately

•Compile a daily activity report of recreational duties

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

U.S. Citizen or LPR;

•Not currently employed by federal agency/active duty military;

•HS Graduate or GED;

•Meet physical/health requirements for duties.

•Valid Public Trust Clearance

•Minimum of one year of verifiable work experience within Correctional or Detention setting

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

•Ability to timely and accurate reports on Word and Excel Formats

•English literacy and ability to write reports in English;

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
