IT Manager

This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for IT support, WordPress management, and digital analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company’s website, assisting with IT infrastructure, and managing tools such as Google Analytics and Google Workspace.

Your key job responsibilities as the IT Manager in Tombeau Bay, Mauritius will include:

• Assist with the maintenance, updates, and optimization of the company’s WordPress website.
  
• Troubleshoot and configure WordPress themes, plugins, and core files.
  
• Support the development and deployment of new website features.
  
• Ensure website performance, security, and uptime through regular monitoring and backups.
  
• Manage Google Workspace accounts, including email setup, permissions, and security settings.
  
• Provide support to team members using Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Meet.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Google Workspace applications.
  
• Set up and manage Google Analytics to track website traffic, user behavior, and performance metrics.
  
• Generate reports on website insights for the marketing team.
  
• Assist with Google Tag Manager setup and configuration.
  
• Troubleshoot tracking issues to ensure accurate data collection.
  
• Provide technical support for hardware and software-related issues.
  
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) on company devices.
  
• Assist in managing internal networks, devices, and printers.
  
• Support software installations, updates, and system configurations.
  
• Perform regular system checks, maintenance, and updates on internal software and hardware.
  
• Assist with OS installations, patches, and security updates.
  
• Support company security protocols, including antivirus software, firewalls, and backups.
  
• Create and maintain IT procedures, user guides, and system documentation.
  
• Provide basic IT training to employees on Google Workspace, WordPress, and other software tools.
  
• Work closely with the IT Manager on technical projects.
  
• Collaborate with marketing, development, and operations teams to support their IT needs.
  

Requirements

Requirements for this IT Manager job in Tombeau Bay, Mauritius:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  
• 1+ year of experience in IT support, WordPress administration, or a related technical role.
  
• Strong understanding of WordPress, including themes, plugins, and performance optimization.
  
• Experience with Google Analytics setup, reporting, and data interpretation.
  
• Knowledge of Google Workspace, including user administration, email configuration, and troubleshooting.
  
• Basic experience with operating system installation and configuration (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  
• Familiarity with web technologies such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap for WordPress troubleshooting.
  
• Experience with Google Tag Manager and event tracking for Google Analytics.
  
• Knowledge of website security best practices, including SSL certificates, website backups, and security plugins for WordPress.
  
• Familiarity with other content management systems (CMS) or web development tools.
  
• Certifications in IT support, WordPress development, or Google Analytics (e.g., CompTIA A+, Google Analytics Certification).
  
• Basic experience with cloud infrastructure or hosting environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, cPanel).
