Job Description
Role Summary:
The position above entails various tasks that are designed to manage and administer the port quality operations in an efficient and cost effective manner. As a result, this position covers several PQO functions, such as labor allocation, audits, process analysis, planning recommendation, budget development and maintaining compliance with all Quality Management System directives. Manages implementation and review of OSHA regulations and statutory compliance thus ensuring a safe workplace. Oversees system integration of all port level programs within the PQO process utilizing Audi and Volkswagen corporate standardization requirements and Factory level Quality Assurance guidelines.
Role Responsibilities:
· Manage relevant PQO Mechanical Shop & Stop Order activities (75%)
o POC for all Stop Order inquiries from corporate partners
o Maintain employee training matrix for all Mechanical Shop Techs
o Continuous technician work allocation
o Daily submission of factory complaint sheets
o Completion of all open recalls on complete vehicle inventory at the port
o Create and maintain Baltimore Mechanical Shop/ Stop Order Line SOPs
o Manage building access for permanent and temp technicians
o Manage flamingo access for all PQO Baltimore personnel
o Train new technicians on SOPs and inbound trainings
o Plan and execute new model launch stop orders per factory guidelines
o Enforce labor force efficiency matrix (i.e. Elsa vs. Actual Time)
o Hold 1:1 meetings with PQO technicians to address workforce needs
o Lead, Plan and Prepare for new model launches
o Create and implement an internal PQO audit schedule
o Perform weekly analysis to determine the need of new Specialty tools
§ Place weekly tool orders
o Perform daily technician work observations to ensure minimum PQO Standards are met
o Apply newly issued stop orders in the system
§ Verify load lane on-hold status
§ Confirm processor system on-hold status
o Manage and maintain PQO Toolboxes
o Weekly submission to Approba for invoice processing
o Manage and maintain Factory Toolboxes
o Create weekly labor timesheets and submission to Payroll Services
o Track and submit expenses related to stop orders for monthly billing file to factory
o Maintain and keep up to date flash line computers
o Monitor on-hold count on daily basis to evaluate overtime and Saturday work requirement
o Perform weekly test of sample 12v Maintainers to ensure flash readiness
o Perform randomized vehicle condition yard audits
o Participates in in-depth technical analysis and assists Quality Monitoring, Factory Field Engineering teams, and the Quality Group as needed
o Leads continuous improvement initiatives for stop order related processes
o Other duties and projects as needed
· Provide a back-up/support role to the Accessories supervisor (25%)
o Perform quality checks on work-complete units
o Labor force idle time evaluation
o Allocate work to MDO/PIA installers and technicians to support VL KPIs
o Responsible for diagnostic support for all MDO/PIA installs
o Support technical relevant trainings related to MDO/PIA

Qualifications
Years of Experience:
- 5+ Years of Quality & Operations Experience
Education – Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- VW/Audi repair experience
- VW/Audi dealership experience
Education - Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Service Technology or Engineering

- ASE Certification
- Automotive Analytical and Diagnostics Background
- Knowledge of PQOS

- Must be eligible for or have TWIC
Specialized Skills - Desired:

Work Flexibility:
- Flexibility during vessel/train arrivals, during actions, stop orders and/or market introductions, which could require overtime, weekend and holidays work
- Travel to other ports for follow up or coordination of stop orders and/or market introductions, as per need
