Your Role
As part of global Business Unit Strategy & Business Development team, you will lead our initiatives across the China region. In this key role, you will drive strategic growth by identifying new business opportunities in our key segments, managing regional projects, and executing go-to-market strategies that ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
Your responsibilities include:
- Safety First: Champion a culture of physical and psychological safety across teams and customer interactions.
- Regional Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement the regional business development strategy aligned with global segments and product plans.
- Project Management: Lead regionalization and localization projects to enhance market relevance and competitiveness.
- New Product Commercialization: Launch and develop new products with tailored business models and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with global and regional teams.
- New Business Development: Identify and support opportunities related to applications and products, leading customer-specific initiatives and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Production Footprint Alignment: Support strategic alignment of production with regional customer needs to improve service and efficiency.
- Branding & Marketing: Plan and execute regional branding and marketing campaigns, including events, exhibitions, and targeted promotions.
- Strategic Planning: Analyse market trends and competitive activity in the assigned region to inform long-term growth strategies.
- Profitability Management: Optimize product mix and manage financial performance across emerging markets in the region.
- Innovation Enablement: Actively contribute to innovation initiatives that address regional and future market demands.
Frequent travels required in China and abroad are estimated up to 50% in average (customer and internal).
About you
You are a strategic and results-driven professional with a strong background in business development, strategic marketing, or commercial leadership—ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment. You bring solid experience in launching new products, driving market expansion, and managing regional development projects. You’re comfortable working in complex, matrixed, and international organizations and thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve and collaboration is key.
Your ability to think long-term and analytically allows you to spot market trends, optimize product mix, and make sound financial decisions that support regional profitability. You’re a natural communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels and across cultures, whether delivering a compelling presentation or leading a cross-functional initiative.
You possess a customer-first mindset, consistently building trust and anticipating needs in a way that strengthens relationships and drives commercial success. Change doesn’t intimidate you—in fact, you lead it. With strong project leadership skills, you're capable of turning strategic ideas into actionable, measurable outcomes. You are fluent in English and skilled at creating clear, engaging content for both internal and external audiences. An University degree (Preferably with an Engineering or related majors) with 5+ years’ experience of business development and segment penetration and experience in direct customer engagement will be key factor success in this position.Familiarity with metallurgy, engineered materials, or industrial product markets is considered a plus.
