This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) Students only.

The Social Media Intern is responsible for creating engaging content & executing digital strategies to enhance Waco Habitat for Humanity & ReStore's presence on various social media platforms. This position focuses on increasing community engagement, promoting events, and raising awareness about WHFH's mission and activities through targeted social media outreach.

In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.
This is a off-campus position and reliable transportation is important.
Bi-lingual is preferred but not required.

Job Description:

Work with local organization(s) or community partners
Basic Canva skills are preferred and must be comfortable with website updates & media publishing.
Must have good knowledge of major social media platforms and content creation tools, excellent writing, editing & communication skills.
Help plan & execute social media campaigns for fundraising events and community outreach as well as track analytics & engagement metrics to access campaign effectiveness & suggest improvements.
Develop & schedule creative content including graphics, videos & stories to promote Waco Habitat's work.
Will need to assist the Director of Homeowner Services, Director of Development and Director of ReStore Operations in managing and updating social media platforms.
Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the University
May assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs
May assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community projects
May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners
May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s)
May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community
Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
