Summary
Rural Resources Community Action (RRCA) is seeking a dedicated and organized MAT Recovery Coordinator to support our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. This role is responsible for coordinating services among medical, behavioral health, and case management providers, supporting client care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting recovery-oriented approaches.
Salary Information
Our MAT Recovery Coordinator position is offered at $21.65 to $23.42 per hour. Actual wage will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, experience and qualifications. Employees who successfully meet or exceed performance expectations during their annual performance evaluation will be eligible for a 4% wage increase. The full salary range for this position is $21.65 to $57.73 per hour and represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position.
Benefits Information
Temporary & 24 hrs. or less per week (PT) employees are not eligible for RRCA benefits other than Paid Sick Leave which will accrue at 1 hour per 40 hours worked.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate intake, assessment, treatment planning, and discharge services for MAT clients
- Serve as the primary liaison among medical providers, behavioral health counselors, case managers, and external partners
- Ensure timely access to MAT services
- Monitor client progress and adherence to treatment plans and medication schedules
- Ensure appropriate screening and follow-up for co-occurring conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation per agency, state, and federal guidelines
- Collect and analyze program data for effectiveness and improvement
- Coordinate with pharmacy and lab services for medication and testing
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, and chart reviews
- Provide direct support, education, and advocacy for clients
- Conduct or coordinate education on medication adherence and recovery support
- Assist in crisis intervention and transitions to different levels of care
- Build and maintain relationships with local providers, law enforcement, courts, and community organizations
- Participate in outreach and education to reduce stigma and expand access
Requirements
Qualifications
- Knowledge of community-based human service practices
- Lived experience with recovery from chemical dependency, substance use, or behavioral health
- Ability to develop and implement client-centered goals
- Strong understanding of MAT principles and SUD treatment
- Familiarity with federal and state MAT regulations
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Culturally competent and trauma-informed approach
- Proficiency with electronic health records and data systems
- Knowledge of de-escalation, mental health, and public systems
- Understanding of crisis intervention, chemical dependency, and the criminal justice system
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and healthy boundaries
- Ability to travel to meet clients where they are
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, business management, leadership, or education
- OR two years’ experience in a human services agency or similar role
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Certifications and Licenses
- Valid driver’s license in state of residence
- Reliable transportation and automobile insurance as required by Washington State
- Acceptable completion of a criminal history background check
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands for computer and phone tasks
- Light lifting (up to 25 lbs.)
- Ability to travel and meet clients in various settings
- Moderate office noise and confined workspaces
- Ability to sit at a computer or in a vehicle for extended periods
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
