Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS as we are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to join MAS Intimates as an Merchandiser Development. This role would enable you to be diligent and accurately follow through on all related activities from the receipt of design concept to style development and bulk tech pack handover whilst building relationships and credibility with all relevant parties in order to ensure a smooth flow of operations and support the account in achieving set objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work together with Senior executive/s to meet customer expectations by catering to specific development requirements, supporting the process of commercialization whilst ensuring accurate and timely management of all critical path activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of production planning and coordination activities, including T&A implementation, raw material delivery, PO fulfillment, cut date planning, delay alerts, cost optimization, and customer communication for tech pack clarifications.
- Effectively manage the customer development calendar to meet internal / external deadlines, requirements and work on New Development projects for business growth, whilst maintaining cordial relationship with all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure costing, cost re-engineering, BOM, PLM and salesforce updates are completed in a timely and accurate manner whilst ensuring internal earning aspirations are met to support the achievement of set objectives.
- Ensure raw material availability as per BOM by proactively managing procurement, addressing shortages and replacements, coordinating accurate documentation, following up on supplier payments, engaging with production on risks, and conducting pre-validations and risk analysis for launch styles.
- Work with the team to build and maintain effective relationships and clear communication channels to ensure timely coordination/ follow up is maintained to meet customer expectations (including visit preparations) is achieved within the stipulated timeframes.
- Initiate sourcing of raw materials with the respective Fabric Technologists and negotiate terms such as price, delivery, MOQ/MCQ and greige availability to find the most suited raw material suppliers in order to optimize benefits in line with customer expectations, to secure the order.
- Establish strong connectivity between development and bulk especially focusing on the time taken to conduct risk mitigation activities at each stage which is required to ensure product feasibility and due diligence is performed to ensure seamless handover to production.
- Coordinate the sample development process, participate in development meetings, whilst following up on Raw material requirements based on the customer request, in order to ensure samples / prototypes are completed and delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure delivery of customer requirements within key calendar dates by coordinating fit sample approvals, conducting RA meetings, clarifying with regional PD teams, managing color sample initiation, and sharing updated BOMs and CC charts with internal teams.
- Timely coordination with development team on launch development sampling, RM costing whilst assisting in RM sourcing for launch styles.
- Support the colour sample process by updating all relevant information into the system and following up on multiple stages within the process to facilitate timely, accurate and effective completion of samples.
- Actively work in collaboration with the team to deliver on lean initiatives and kaizen activities to achieve departmental strategies.
Qualifications:
- 1 - 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Degree/ Management qualification in a relevant field
- Professional - Fully Qualified Prior knowledge in bulk order execution is highly advantageous
- Mathematics background
