Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Compliance Coordinator provides support within the assigned Housing department by ensuring policies, procedures, and HUD regulations are followed. Communicate any non-compliance and unethical findings to Operations Director. Establish, implement, and follow up on corrective action plans. You will report to the Director.
Primary Tasks:
1. Create compliance plans for assigned Housing departments annually.
2. Perform compliance audits of tenant and unit files throughout all assigned Housing programs.
3. Perform self-monitoring throughout all assigned Housing programs to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable state and HUD regulations.
4. Maintain compliance and self-monitoring spreadsheets and monitor the Laserfiche filing system for accuracy.
5. Report compliance and self-monitoring findings to program Director and prepare corrective action plans, following up on corrective actions.
6. Identify corrective action to improve or resolve issues that are detected during the audit process and perform follow-up procedures.
7. Review transactions and supporting documents to identify unethical conduct.
8. Protect confidentiality of all financial records and data and personal identifiable information.
9. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field
· Ability to obtain Certified Occupancy Specialist, Certified Manager of Housing, and Certified Manager of Maintenance Certifications within 12 months
· Ability to compose clear and concise correspondence, internal policies, procedures, presentations and narrative reports.
· Knowledge of local, state, and federal housing regulations and self-monitoring requirements
· One [1] year experience providing self-monitoring or auditing services

- Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field or;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to obtain designated housing certifications within 12 months
Ability to compose clear, concise correspondence, internal policies, procedures, presentations and narrative reports.
Strong time management, writing proficiency, and computer/software competency skills
Knowledge of local, state, and federal housing regulations and self-monitoring requirements
Intermediate user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
One [1] year experience providing self-monitoring and/or auditing services
