Maintenance Engineer (all Genders)

 

The 'FireGlass Journey' began in 2008 when we started out as a single cutting bench in the corner of a shared factory employing just two staff. In 2018 we celebrated our first decade in business with five Branches nationwide (and a separate Installations division) and now employ over 120 members of staff. FireGlass (part of Saverto) is now one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, suppliers, and glaziers of fire and acoustic glass.

We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Engineer at our UK Branch based in Oldbury. Monday - Friday : 06:00am - 2:30pm / 2:30pm - 11:00pm (Rolling Shift)

Your Tasks

Maintenance & Repair

• Ensure smooth production by maintaining and servicing machines, tools, and equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or replace faulty parts
• Perform regular inspections and quality checks to prevent breakdowns

Installation & Optimization

• Install and commission new machinery and components
• Fine-tune equipment for optimal performance
• Keep accurate records of all preventive and emergency maintenance work

Safety & Collaboration

• Ensure electrical equipment complies with safety standards and legal regulations
• Work closely with site management, engineering, and production teams to complete tasks efficiently
• Support a safe working environment by following all health and safety guidelines

Your Profile

• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
• Confident with IT and data analysis
• Problem solver who identifies issues and implements solutions
• Organized and able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage projects
• Clear communicator at all levels
• Qualification: C&G Level 2 Electrical or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of health and safety standards
