Position Description:

Pediatric Clinical Geneticist

The division of Pediatric Genetics is seeking a board certified/board eligible physician in both pediatrics and clinical genetics. The candidate will join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of professionals that consists of medical geneticists, genetic counselors, metabolic nutritionists.  The division provides developmental pediatrics, clinical genetic and laboratory services including cytogenetics, Fluorescence in situ Hybridization and chromosome microarray analysis through the Novak Center for Children’s Health and Norton Children’s Hospital located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. 

The Novak Center for Children’s Health is a 176,000-square-foot center opened in 2018 and was designed to create a better way to deliver health care for the children of Kentucky and the surrounding region. Located in the heart of the UofL Health Sciences campus and close to Norton Children’s Hospital in downtown Louisville, the center is one of the largest and most technically advanced pediatric outpatient centers in the country. This center provides the resources and space necessary to offer an integrated health care model serving as the home of UofL Physicians pediatric specialty clinical practices, lab and radiology services, medical education conference rooms, multi-disciplinary spaces and more all in one convenient outpatient care location for families. 

Norton Children’s Hospital (NCH) is the region’s full-service, free-standing children’s hospital.  NCH is affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine and serves as our primary pediatric teaching facility.
