Who we want:

CIS of Central Texas is seeking a full-time Communications and Multimedia Coordinator to be responsible for developing internal and external communications, including print and digital promotional materials, to support Community In Schools of Central Texas’ mission and storytelling across nine school districts, and 123 school communities This includes creating annual agency impact reports and one-pagers for school districts and community partners, as well as developing communication kits and managing the inventory and distribution of CIS-branded clothing and collateral for more than 200 CIS colleagues. The Communication and Multimedia Coordinator takes the lead to track data and prepare reports for the Communications department. The role manages communications requests and tracks workflow for services and special projects. The specialist also helps train and support colleagues and interns on the agency’s communications protocols.

What we offer:

CIS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The starting salary range for this position is $3,808.34/mo. Salaries are determined by qualifications and relevant experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and midpoint depending on experience and in alignment with internal equity.

What you’ll bring:

Professional Certification in Design or Communication, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience with Strategic Storytelling through written expression
Experience creating print and digital communications, including graphic designs
Experience in project management for communications and promotions
Experience reviewing and tracking information and creating reports
Experience managing social media accounts, preferred
Experience in photography and videography, preferred
Experience managing website content, and using WordPress or other content management systems preferred
Experience managing inventory and developing systems
Excellent oral, written, and creative communication skills
Public speaking experience, preferred
Ability to manage bilingual Spanish/English content preferred
Demonstrated competence engaging audiences, including students, families, colleagues, volunteers, and community partners
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships to effectively collaborate with CIS colleagues and community partners
Highly self-motivated and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively
Experience using Adobe, CANVA or other graphic design software
Experience with Constant Contact, MailChimp or similar tool to create email newsletters preferred

What you’ll do:

Collaborate with the Communications Leadership Team to develop and implement an integrated strategic communications strategy to advance the organization’s brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase visibility across key stakeholder audiences
Maintain and develop standard operating procedures for Communications
Produce a range of print and digital materials, including reports, fact sheets, newsletters, talking points, and one-pagers
Help manage the organization’s internal and external websites, and social media accounts
Produce photography and videos for internal and external audiences
Manage communications kit creation and distribution to more than 200 team members
Manage coordination and distribution of print materials, swag, uniforms, and event materials for more than 100 campuses and more than 200 team members
Monitor department data tracking and reporting, including metrics/KPIs and effectiveness of public relations, social media, and other communication efforts. Produce a monthly
Communications Report with social media analytics and other department metrics

Reporting Structure: This position is supervised by the Chief of Communications and may supervise interns and/or volunteers.

Work Location: This is a full-time, in-person position located at the CIS's administrative office, St. Elmo, in Austin, TX.
