Position Summary
We’re seeking a highly personable, organized, and community-driven Community Engagement & Events Coordinator to help grow our brand presence across Texas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in both office and public settings, and is passionate about helping those in need.
This person will lead event-based outreach (like our annual Coats4Kids drive), manage sponsorship efforts, engage meaningfully with clients and the public, and help tell the firm’s story through video and photo content. They’ll also support in-office hospitality and assist with capturing authentic client moments for marketing purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination & Community Outreach
• Lead the planning and execution of firm-sponsored events, including our signature initiative Coats4Kids, as well as the development and participation in community events that foster goodwill, support families in need, and drive meaningful engagement that reflects our firm’s client-first values.
• Identify and attend community events that align with the firm’s mission and target audience.
• Apply for relevant small grants or sponsorship opportunities (especially those supporting children and families).
• Coordinate booths, promotional items, and staff involvement at community events.
Client Interaction & Brand Representation
• Greet and interact with clients in the office with warmth, professionalism, and empathy.
• Act as a brand ambassador - both in the office and at public events.
• Help clients feel seen and cared for during stressful or vulnerable moments.
Media, Press & Public Relations
• Seek out earned media opportunities and coordinate with local press for firm visibility.
• Build and maintain a contact list of local media, nonprofit partners, and community leaders.
• Draft press releases or assist with communications about major firm events or initiatives.
Social Media & Content Support
• Capture video and photo content from events and in-office client interactions (with proper consent).
• Conduct basic video interviews with clients (when appropriate) to tell their story in a respectful and compelling way.
• Collaborate with teammates on the marketing team to produce content that reflects the firm’s values and community presence.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred to better serve our diverse client base and broaden community outreach.
Sponsorships & Grant Applications
• Identify local businesses and organizations to request sponsorships or partnerships.
• Research and apply for small grants that align with our mission, particularly those involving child welfare, education, or local health/safety initiatives.
Administrative & Project Management
• Maintain organized event timelines, budgets, and checklists.
• Coordinate with vendors, nonprofit partners, and internal team members.
• Track engagement metrics for community initiatives to report outcomes and improvements.
• Learn and use office technologies (project management tools, CRM, basic video/photo editing platforms, etc.).
What We’re Looking For
• Strong interpersonal skills—must be approachable, confident, and emotionally intelligent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for community service.
• Professional presence.
• Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
• Comfortable on camera and interacting with people on video.
• Comfortable asking for sponsorships, coordinating community efforts, and pitching story ideas to local press.
Preferred Experience
• Previous experience in event coordination, nonprofit outreach, community relations, or similar.
• Experience working with diverse communities or in a legal or healthcare environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with Canva, Instagram/Facebook Reels, or mobile video editing tools is a plus.
Education
• No formal degree required. We’re looking for someone with the right mix of heart, professionalism, communication skills, and hands-on experience.
