🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor all plant systems including conveyors, dryers, screens, and mixing drums
- Control the blending and mixing of raw materials to produce asphalt to specified standards
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate production and maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company safety policies
- Coordinate with truck drivers and dispatch to ensure timely loading and delivery
- Assist with plant setup, shutdown, and cleaning procedures
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders or skid steers as needed
đź“‹ Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, technical training or certifications a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in asphalt plant operations or related field
- Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and production specifications
- Basic computer skills for data entry and control systems
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required

- Knowledge of asphalt mix designs and quality control procedures
- Experience with computerized plant control systems
- Familiarity with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental compliance standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
