SUMMARY
Paragon Professional Services, LLC (Paragon), a company within the BSNC family is seeking a Field Chemist to support a wide range of environmental projects. Primary duties will include providing data analysis, research, and technical consultation; supporting proposal preparation; preparing planning documents; supporting and leading field activities; and preparing after action reports. Wage/ Salary Range: $33-$35/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
•Facility inspections and checklists
•Collect and package field samples for transit to laboratories
•Identify and report deficiencies
•Coordinate and participate in occupational health and safety inspections
•Monitor facility systems
•Ensure proper storage, usage, and disposal and associated documentation of hazardous materials and hazardous waste
•Monitoring and inspect life safety, physical security, and fire prevention requirements
•Address deficiencies if required
•Respond to information requests
•Documentation, checklists and reports
•Other duties as assigned

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental studies/science, or other science from four-year college or university; or
• Five plus years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; or
• Two plus years experience at an analytical laboratory.

•Must have working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook)
•General office administrative and clerical skills to perform support duties

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
