The Director of FP&A (Global) will play a critical role in driving financial planning, analysis, and performance management for the CPD organization across its global footprint. This role is responsible for delivering accurate forecasting, insightful financial analysis, and strategic support to help guide decision-making across the business.

This position works closely with business leaders and finance counterparts to develop the annual budget, multi-year financial plans, and monthly/quarterly forecasts. The successful candidate will bring financial discipline and strategic insight to support growth initiatives, cost optimization, and business transformation efforts. This position is a key financial partner to the Global VP of Finance, CPD and participates actively in business reviews, investment evaluations, and operational improvement discussions.

Key Job Responsibilities 

  • Partner with the Global VP of Finance and global leadership team to drive accountability to financial targets and long-term growth plans
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process globally
  • Prepare and present detailed financial analysis to support business strategy, investment cases, and resource allocation decisions
  • Serve as the primary FP&A lead for business performance reviews and key strategic initiatives, ensuring financial transparency and proactive risk management
  • Conduct financial analysis on revenue streams, product profitability, cost drivers, and asset utilization to identify improvement opportunities
  • Partner with functional leaders to support productivity improvements and track ROI on key initiatives
  • Support M&A analysis, financial integration activities, and special projects as required
  • Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and reporting standards

 

Team Leadership and Development

  • While collaborating with the Segment FP&A or Segment Controller – support building and leading a high-performing finance team, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the finance organization
  • Support effective succession planning and talent management
  • Lead subordinates and relate with peers and superiors
  • Collaborate effectively with Segment Controllers, Plant Finance leaders, and Corporate FP&A to ensure consistency and alignment
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and analytical rigor
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with operations, sales, and supply chain teams

 

Experience Required

  • 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial company; global experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; MBA preferred
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator with the ability to convey complex financial insights clearly and concisely
  • Fluent in Spanish highly desired
  • “Hands on” knowledge of manufacturing systems and their link to financial reporting and performance interpretation
  • Understanding of manufacturing cost structures and methodologies
  • Proficiency with multiple ERP systems (BAAN/LN), as well as advanced MS Excel (pivot tables/lookups), MS PowerPoint and MS Word
  • Strong decision-making skills, sound judgment, and the ability to create/adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
  • Proven ability to:
    • Work in a matrixed, global organization with multiple stakeholders
    • Drive and continuously improve an efficient, user-friendly process for developing financial plans and analysis that link to strategic objectives
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with business leaders and corporate teams
