Shipping & Receiving Technician I (No Post Conversion)

Job Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Tech I  supports the department by preparing and shipping equipment between manufacturing sites and to customers. This role ensures all equipment meets close out and labeling requirements and complies with engineering standards. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality procedures are essential.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and notify inventory team of incoming equipment.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
• Ensure proper labeling and documentation for all outgoing shipments.
• Follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures.
• Use hand tools such as drills, impact drivers, rivet and nail guns.
• Maintain organized and orderly material storage.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Forklift experience required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Motivated, organized, and safety-conscious.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Exposure to noise, chemicals, weather, and mechanical equipment.
