Job Objective

This position is responsible for implementing factory Environment, Occupational Health and Safety(HSE) policy by assessing HSE risks and providing technical solutions. Along with the effective implementation of the HSE policy, this position requires to nurture a culture where everyone identifies HSE as their direct responsibility; thereby complying with all CCI and TCC HSE standards, obligations, rules and regulations.

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities : Develop the overall plan for factory HSE management system. Making sure that all essential HSE management Systems are implemented as per 
CCI & TCCC requirements across factory and maintain effective monitoring/measuring of these management systems to gauge effectiveness. 
Regularly update management about the progress.Take priority measures to eliminate hazards at the source in accordance with job and workplace characteristics to make an assessment based 
measurements. take necessary HSE measures to make recommendations including opinion of employee or their representatives and 
monitoring applications.Conduct/participate in process of EOSH risk assessment involving employees and line management. Control the hazards with appropriate 
controls. Periodically update risk assessments.To plan periodic controls, maintenance and measurements to be made in workplace with respect to HSE. Ensure the inventory of correct 
personal protective equipment in workplace. Maintaining correct levels and ensure testing of these PPEs (if required) and share reports.Carry out studies in compliance with local legislations related with HSE and TCC KORE requirements. Maintain ISO certifications (ISO 14001. ISO 
45001 etc).To follow and maintain routine safety and environmental analyses and permission documents from government agencies and 
follow up on correspondence with legal authorities to stay up to date.Lead and implement all HSE projects including cultural programs(Hand in Hand 2.0, Cultural surveys and action plans) in factory. Maintain close 
monitoring about each step of projects and cultural programs and update management about the progress and give suggestions to improve.Provide technical expertise and support for plant departments, on regulatory compliance issues in Safety, Health and Environment. Making 
sure that location and departments to reach 85% of Safety Maturity Index at a minimum. 
Ensure that all operating equipment, tools and plants meet EOSH standards. Plant and machinery in operation comply with safety standards. All 
installations are made to ensure laid down company’s requirement of safety standards.Ensure all third party contractors comply with company’ EOSH policy and comply while executing the job at the plant premises.Ensure prevention of fire and explosion risk , taking measures in case of fire and explosion, fire control of protection equipment and vehicles, 
establishment of fire crews, fire drill. Manage fire protection and fire-fighting activities and to keep relevant recordsPlanning and attending the Occupational Health, Safety and environment committee meetings, regarding the health and safety status of the 
workplace. giving information, sharing analysis and making suggestionConduct detailed investigation of all the accidents/incidents and near misses, prepare and follow-up action plans. Prepare detailed trend 
analysis of accidents and occupational illnesses.Work closely and in cooperation with the Workplace Health Unit, prepare health status of the workplace , evaluate accidents and occupational 
diseases with the workplace doctor.Develop programs and conduct EOSH training for plant staff, line supervisors and workers to enhance HSE culture. Make suggestions to the 
plant management about whom the training will be given, the scope, who will give it, the duration and the continuity of the trainings 
Follow the organization's HSandE policies, procedures and mandatory instructions, to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve these, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
