With a diverse portfolio and a strong presence in the market, we are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and support strategic financial decision-making.Position Summary: The Controller will oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CFO (or CEO), and will play a critical role in driving financial excellence across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, GL, and payrollOversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesPrepare and analyze financial statements and management reportsDevelop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projectionsEnsure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controlsCoordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutionsSupervise and mentor accounting staffMaintain and improve accounting systems and processesMonitor and report on property-level and consolidated financial performanceSupport real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, and financingQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience; at least 3 years in a leadership rolePrior experience in real estate industry required (property management, development, or investment)Strong knowledge of GAAP, real estate accounting, and partnership structuresProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, QuickBooks) and ExcelExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and meet deadlines#GHJSS #LI-JE1
