Equifax is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Inside Enterprise Sales (IES) team. This role is a full-cycle sales position managing all sales activities from lead generation/qualification through contract close and implementation. Business development responsibilities include expanding and penetrating existing markets, strategizing entry into new markets/market segments, and pursuing additional capabilities into existing domains. Additionally, this role is responsible for the relationship management of new customers by overseeing the onboarding and implementation process. In order to be successful in this role, one must be organized, coachable, resilient, adaptable and curious in nature with sharp communication skills and a hunter mindset.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule (Monday-Wednesday in office) and requires in-office presence at our Midtown location in the One Atlantic Center building or at our Alpharetta office.
What you’ll do
- Identify and secure new customers
- Qualify inbound leads and secure meeting with proper stakeholders
- Land and grow new customer revenue across the Equifax solution portfolio
- Develop contact network within new customers and facilitate connection to relevant Equifax counterparts
- Lay early foundation for long-term customer relationships
- Identify, develop, manage, and close opportunities spanning all Equifax solutions with prospects
- Complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business imperatives and risk, fraud, and marketing strategies
- Define and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth while delivering meaningful customer value
- Network to build relationships with economic buyers, decision makers, and influencers in target customers
- Leverage account, solution, and delivery team resources effectively and at appropriate times to advance opportunities
- Lead account strategy motions with cross-functional teams to identify sales opportunities tied to Equifax value-add
- Respond to prospect RFI and RFPs
- Drive strong pipeline development and sales execution
- Work with internal stakeholders throughout the onboarding and implementation process
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with the newly signed accounts
What experience you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in an account executive, business development or similar B2B, quota-based, customer-facing sales role
What could set you apart
- Experience selling a suite of complex products within data, technology, or financial services industries
- Prior employment in a highly-matrixed corporate environment
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales quotas and closing new business deals through consultative selling techniques
- Understanding of Salesforce, Gainsight, Google Suite, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other CRM/Sales tools
