Operational Excellence Expert
ING
Office
Cedar), Netherlands
Full Time
As Operational Excellence Expert you work in the Human Resources organisation in the Employee Experience & Operational Excellence Team. In this role, you focus mainly on Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, project and incident management and root cause analysis.
The team
The team works closely with the Local and Global People Services, Center of Expertises, HRBP's, external suppliers and Centralised People Services in Katowice and Manila. The Employee Experience & Operational Excellence-Team works on predefined quality and quantity objectives, including improving the employee experience with continuous focus on (cost)effectiveness, quality, efficiency and speed. In addition, this team works on operational excellence and continuous improvement within (Centralized) People Services. This is done according to the change methodology PACE and the process improvement method Lean Six Sigma.
Roles and responsibilities
As an Operational Excellence Expert, you are responsible for driving continuous improvement by managing small to medium-sized projects independently. Under the guidance of the Senior Employee Journey Expert, you also contribute to larger, strategic change initiatives. You collaborate closely with teams across (Centralized) People Services (such as the Payroll Operations team) as well as other HR domains.
You drive continuous improvement by taking an end-to-end (E2E) perspective on processes (from initial trigger to final delivery and internal communication). You proactively identify inefficiencies, perform in-depth root cause analyses, and translate incidents and recurring issues into sustainable, structural solutions. You collaborate closely with stakeholders across the value chain to ensure process alignment, eliminate waste, and enhance employee experiences. Additionally, you ensure that process changes and improvements are clearly communicated and accessible via the ING intranet, fostering transparency and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Under the guidance of the senior Employee Journey Expert, you will work on major change projects. To improve the Operational Excellence, you work a lot with teams within People Services (for example the Payroll OPS-Team). Change requests arise from both root cause analysis and input from the Payroll OPS-Team.
Operational excellence and continuous improvement:
Proactively identify, analyse and optimise operational processes to maximise efficiency, quality and customer employee satisfaction.
Constantly evaluate and improve operational processes to reduce waste, save costs and optimise operational performance.
Incident management with root cause analysis:
Effectively resolve incidents that occur during the operational processes.
Perform root cause analyses to identify and resolve root causes of incidents.
Implement measures to prevent recurrence of incidents and continuously improve operational processes.
Projectmanagement:
Managing and coordinating small, less complex change projects and collaborating with the senior colleague in the large and complex change projects.
Monitoring progress.
Continuously evaluate and schedule project plans to ensure a successful implementation of the project with the right result and the most impact.
