Job Description:
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
- Administers benefits to include health, dental, supplemental insurance, retirement, unemployment, cobra continuation, qualifying events, dependent verifications, medical support court orders, and sick leave pool.
- Administers FMLA and ADAAA by verifying leaves, certifications, accrued time, unpaid time, collecting premiums for benefits.
- Compiles EEOC reporting every other year and census bureau report annually. Assist with Salary Surveys from other entities as requested.
- Administers new hire processing, employee separations, verify transfers and promotions. Assists with employee relations. Completes employment verifications.
- Prepares and posts employment announcements and/or job descriptions.
- Communicates and coordinates with all employees the processes for open enrollment and retirement seminars, initiates service awards, and maintain personnel files.
- Performs related work as required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by two (2) years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Physical Demands:
- Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

Special Certifications and Licenses:
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
