JOB OVERVIEW
The Operations Associate II for the Asset Servicing department provides day-to-day operational support for the initial review of an asset, valuation updates, security master setup, ongoing maintenance of all asset classes and account resolution. Supports the goals and objectives of Equity Trust Company (ETC) leadership, collaborates effectively across the organization, and ensures a superior client experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Provides professional inbound calls and outbound phone calls and operational support to clients, third parties and asset sponsors regarding asset valuations.
- Provides professional inbound and outbound email communication to clients, third parties and asset sponsors regarding asset valuations.
- Efficiently reviews required documents and processes client requests involving fair market valuation updates, account corrections, and promissory note modifications
- Provides account research and resolution on any internal or external errors that may have occurred
- Reviews all high market value transactions to ensure proper reporting of client assets.
- Guarantees continued maintenance of existing assets by utilizing statements provided by the asset provider and third parties
- Works with Asset Sponsors to obtain appropriate tax reporting requirements on new and existing assets
- Monitors unsettled assets to ensure appropriate documentation is on file
- Effective and timely communication with clients, colleagues and third parties
- Manages time and workload appropriately to meet all internal service level agreements (SLA’s)
- Institutes continuous improvement approaches where appropriate; assesses processes and make recommendations for workflow improvements
- Works collaboratively in a team environment to achieve team, department, and overall business goals
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrate success in problem solving, researching and resolving client issues/concerns
- Provide project support to Team Lead or Supervisor as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related field preferred
- Retirement product knowledge or financial services experience preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:
- Computer proficiency with intermediate Microsoft Office skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
