Role Summary:  

The Assistant Manager – HSE will be individually responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving Health, Safety, and Environment programs at the construction project site. This role involves close coordination with construction contractors, subcontractors, and their employees to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Roles and Responsibility:

Key Responsibilities:

  • HSE Program Implementation:

    • Understand and implement site-specific HSE plans, procedures, and risk assessments in alignment with Aliaxis global and regional guidelines.

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national HSE regulations and escalate in case of any non compliances.

    • Ensure compliance with Aliaxis Global Health, Safety and Environment Standards.

  • Contractor Coordination:

    • Work closely with contractors and subcontractors to ensure their HSE practices align with project requirements.

    • Conduct joint safety inspections and audits with contractor HSE teams.

  • Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.

    • Maintain  and share records of incidents, near misses, and safety observations.

    • Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly HSE reports to management.

  • Training & Awareness:

    • Organize and conduct HSE induction programs for new workers and visitors.

    • Facilitate toolbox talks, safety drills, and awareness campaigns.

  • Incident Management:

    • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.

    • Ensure timely reporting and documentation of all incidents.

  • Emergency Preparedness:

    • Develop and maintain emergency response plans.

    • Conduct periodic emergency drills and evaluate effectiveness.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for improving HSE performance and culture.

    • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and leadership.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.

  • Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
