As part of Treehouse Silicon Valley, you will be challenged consistently with a diverse range of responsibilities that keep the department running seamlessly.We are currently in search of a Sales Manager who will be responsible for driving revenue and occupancy by promoting and selling a hotel's services, including rooms, event spaces, and amenities. This role involves building relationships with clients, negotiating contracts, and developing sales strategies to attract event organizers and group bookings. They also play a key role in market analysis, competitor analysis, and customer relationship management to ensure the hotel's competitive edge. This position works closely with Revenue Management, Catering, Finance, and all Operational departments of the hotel.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSReports to the Director of SalesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops and executes a strategic sales plan to prospect, solicit, and secure new business within assigned market segments.
Leads client outreach and relationship-building initiatives to drive revenue and maximize occupancy across all market segments.
Drafting contracts and estimates in accordance with brand standards.
Maintains accurate, up-to-date records in Delphi; inputs all leads, opportunities, and activities in a timely manner.
Conducts site inspections and hosts client visits to highlight hotel services, amenities, and capabilities.
Ensures all group bookings are confirmed with contracts, payment terms, guarantees, and detailed event specifications.
Participates in weekly sales strategy meetings with the Director of Sales to review performance and align on market opportunities.
Contributes to strategic brainstorming sessions to support departmental revenue goals and hotel-wide financial targets.
Owns quarterly and annual sales targets; regularly monitors performance and proactively adjusts strategies to ensure goal achievement.
Adheres to established selling guidelines and pricing strategies in coordination with the Director of Revenue Management.
Acts as a liaison between the Sales department and all operational teams to ensure alignment and exceptional service delivery.
Resolves client concerns or challenges professionally, ensuring positive outcomes and guest satisfaction.
Attends and contributes to key meetings, including daily business review, weekly revenue, and departmental sales meetings.
Reviews and approves sales-related correspondence, including proposals, contracts, and communications to ensure brand consistency.
Fosters cross-departmental relationships to enhance service delivery and guest experience.
Develops and nurtures long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
Delivers persuasive, solution-oriented sales presentations tailored to client needs.
Assists in the creation and execution of promotional sales campaigns and packages.
Manages administrative duties such as expense reporting, budgeting, and forecasting as required.
Maintains flexible availability to accommodate business demands, including weekends and evenings when needed.
Actively represents the hotel brand within the community and at industry events.
Champions the Treehouse brand by leading with company values and setting an example in every client and colleague’s interaction.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
REQUIRED:
· 4-year College or University Degree strongly preferred
· 1+ years of luxury hotel sales management experience and/or similar sales capacity in another related organization
· Strong interpersonal and influencing management skills
· Sound ability and knowledge in developing robust business processes
· Well organized and priority focused with ability to work on own initiative
· A high degree of professionalism and creativity
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Understands the hotels’ marketing and business plans as well as departmental budget
· Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs
· Proficient in Delphi
