Summary
As an experienced Paralegal joining a busy real estate team, you will be expected to play a key support role in delivering efficient and high-quality legal services across a range of property matters including investment acquisition/disposals, landlord and tenant matters, asset management and real estate finance. You will be expected to be able to work largely autonomously on routine transactions, whilst also being able to be a valued team player on larger or more complicated deals, contributing on whatever tasks are needed to get the job done.
The role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, withing a highly supportive but highly performing team.
The position is available immediately for someone who is ambitious and looking for the ‘next step’ on their career – someone ready to embrace the challenge of working in a national law firm, offering exposure to high quality, varied work across a broad client base
Responsibilities
Case Management: manage own caseload of property transactions from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and matters progress efficiently.
Legal Research and Advice: Conducting legal research and providing clear advice to clients and/or reports to colleagues;
Document Preparation: prepare and review standard documentation, utilising in-house precedents, including leases, licences, reports on title, real estate finance documentation and undertakings
Client Communication: maintain clear and professional communication with clients, providing updates, answering queries and ensuring expectations and service-levels are managed throughout
Due Diligence and Searches: able to undertake title investigations, review search results, prepare summary reports for both clients and for the wider team
Post Completion: able to handle all post-completion steps include SDLT returns, Company House submissions, Land Registry applications and requisitions with the requisite timescales.
Compliance: ensuring accurate file management in accordance with internal compliance policies and risk management procedures,
Adaptability and initiative: able to display flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and priorities of the wider team, taking initiative to resolve issues or flag matters where input is needed
