What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a Director of Marketing Monetization to own and drive our company’s revenue growth. In this role, you will lead strategies aimed at converting free users into paying subscribers and maximizing the value of our existing customer base. You will take end-to-end ownership of a critical segment of the subscriber journey, with a strong focus on experimentation, conversion optimization, and lifecycle marketing.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute monetization strategies across marketing channels to increase revenue and user value, leveraging multi-channel campaigns, landing pages, email journeys, app notifications, and paywalls.
Conversion & Lifecycle Ownership
Own key stages of the subscriber funnel – from awareness to conversion, upsell, and retention. Lead experiments to optimize conversion flows, pricing, promotions, and messaging.
Team Leadership
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team across all lifecycle stages. Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and data-driven decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with product, Data, tech, content, and performance marketing teams to align messaging, user experience, and business goals.
Data-Driven Optimization
Monitor KPIs and user behavior in collaboration with the Analytics team. Translate insights into actionable strategies with measurable impact.
Market Awareness
Conduct competitive research and stay informed on market trends, user expectations, and best practices in monetization.
Executive Communication
Present findings, performance updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support business planning and decision-making.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, growth, revenue operations, or product marketing— in a subscription based company.
- Strong understanding of subscription-based business models, customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and pricing strategies.
- Background in investing and equity markets - A must.
- Proven track record of leading monetization initiatives that delivered measurable revenue growth.
- Experience managing and mentoring a team, with a focus on performance, development, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in A/B testing platforms and CRO (conversion rate optimization) methodologies.
- Proficiency with marketing and analytics tools.
