The PMO Director is responsible for establishing, managing, and optimizing the project management office (PMO) function across the company’s agriculture, industrial, and hospitality portfolios. This role ensures standardized project governance, methodology, and reporting across all capital development and strategic initiatives—from greenfield farms and industrial plants to luxury resorts and renovations.
The PMO Director serves as a central point for project planning, resource management, performance tracking, and risk oversight to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
MO Leadership & Governance
• Develop and implement PMO frameworks, tools, and policies tailored to agriculture, industrial, and hospitality projects.
• Define and enforce project management standards, stage gates, and best practices.
• Lead the selection and implementation of PM software or systems (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).
Portfolio & Program Management
• Oversee the entire project portfolio, tracking status, risks, budgets, and interdependencies.
• Align projects with strategic business objectives (e.g., seasonal planning, tourism cycles, industrial expansion).
• Ensure consistent reporting and dashboards for executive leadership.
Planning & Scheduling Oversight
• Review project plans and timelines prepared by project managers and ensure they are realistic and aligned with business milestones.
• Coordinate project prioritization and resource allocation across departments (agriculture, operations, hospitality).
Budget & Risk Control
• Monitor CAPEX utilization and ensure budgetary discipline across the portfolio.
• Implement centralized risk management processes and contingency planning.
Team Support & Capacity Building
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to internal project managers and coordinators.
• Lead recruitment and development of PMO staff as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Act as a liaison between project teams and senior leadership.
• Prepare executive briefings, board updates, and investment committee reports as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Agriculture, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 20+ years of experience in project management or PMO roles, with at least 7 years in a managerial or strategic PMO role.
• Strong understanding of project delivery in asset-heavy sectors such as agriculture, food processing, logistics, construction, or hospitality real estate.
• Familiarity with CAPEX project lifecycles, feasibility studies, and development financing.

Preferred Qualifications:
• PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or PMO-specific certification.
• Experience managing diverse portfolios in agriculture, hospitality, or industrial real estate.
• Working knowledge of ESG and sustainability practices in project execution.
• Experience with ERP or project tracking tools (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Smartsheet, etc.).
