The role we want to fill
Startek is currently recruiting Faults and Emergencies Consultants to work with our Energy Distribution team. As a Faults and Emergencies Consultant you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of faults and emergency calls across our network. You will register and manage customer expectations around faults and emergency response times in line with Service Level Agreements.

Work From Home (after speed to competency has been met) Training will be conducted in our Melbourne Docklands offices (2 Weeks + Consolidation Period)
Rotating Roster: 7 days per week / 24 hours per day
Permanent Contracts available with minimum 35 hours per week available
Permanent Contract: Pay Rate: $28.12 per hour + Superannuation + Leave (pro rata) + Penalty rates on weekends and after hours. Guaranteed 35 paid hours per week.
All applicants will be required to complete a criminal check (which we will conduct) and all offers of employment will be made pending the successful outcome of this check.
About You
- Previous customer service experience from within the hospitality, retail or call centre industry will be advantageous
- Previous experience within Utilities (Gas/Electricity) – advantageous
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to empathise with customers
- Sound business judgement and decision-making ability
- Effective and appropriate communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with the possibility of life-threatening situations and difficult callers
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Advanced computer and data entry skills
