The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in hygiene management within a food manufacturing environment, preferably seafood or other high-risk categories.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing nightshift teams.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing business needs.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the hygiene team, ensuring effective performance and development.
- Oversee all hygiene activities across the site, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, including retail customer audits
- Develop and implement hygiene schedules and procedures tailored to high-risk and high-care production areas.
- Monitor and audit hygiene practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, technical, and engineering teams to maintain food safety standards.
- Ensure all hygiene operatives are trained and competent in their roles.
- Manage hygiene-related documentation and reporting for audits and inspections.
- Respond to hygiene-related incidents and lead investigations where necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in hygiene processes and culture.
