We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of voco Muscat Al Mouj. This strategic role is responsible for managing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, internal controls, and compliance while ensuring the financial health and integrity of the hotel. The ideal candidate will act as a key business partner to the General Manager and Executive Team, providing insights that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation and management of the annual budget and long-term financial plans.
- Monitor hotel performance metrics, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax laws.
- Manage audits, both internal and external, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
- Supervise accounting staff and oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and revenue accounting functions.
- Serve as the financial liaison between the hotel, corporate office, and ownership groups.
- Support operational departments with financial guidance and cost control initiatives.
- Oversee purchasing and inventory systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and cost efficiency.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
- Experience with hospitality financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, SunSystems, M3, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of integrity.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
