We are seeking a skilled and proactive Information Technology (IT) Manager to oversee all IT systems and infrastructure within the hotel. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the hotel’s hardware, software, networks, and data security, ensuring seamless technology operations that support guest services, hotel operations, and staff productivity.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Oversee the daily operation of the hotel’s IT systems, including property management systems (PMS), point of sale (POS), internet access, telecommunication systems, security systems, and office applications.
- Ensure all hotel technology systems are operating efficiently and securely with minimal downtime.
- Manage IT projects, including new system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to all hotel departments.
- Monitor network performance and maintain firewalls, VPNs, backups, and disaster recovery systems.
- Maintain data privacy and security in compliance with local regulations and hotel policies.
- Liaise with corporate IT, vendors, and contractors to ensure effective service delivery.
- Train staff on IT policies, procedures, and new systems as needed.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and assess potential benefits for the hotel.
- Ensure compliance with brand technology standards and support audits.
- Manage the IT budget and control costs related to IT purchases and services.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of hotel systems such as PMS (e.g., Opera, OnQ, Protel), POS, VoIP, and CCTV.
- Experience managing networks, servers, and IT infrastructure.
- Proficient in Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts as needed.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL) are a plus.
