We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Hygiene Manager to lead and manage all hygiene and sanitation standards across our property. This role is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of our guests and staff by implementing hygiene protocols, monitoring cleanliness standards, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality or food safety, a solid understanding of hygiene practices, and a passion for creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene and sanitation policies across all hotel departments including housekeeping, F&B, spa, and public areas.
- Conduct regular hygiene audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., HACCP, local health authority requirements).
- Train and supervise hotel staff on hygiene standards, proper cleaning procedures, and the use of cleaning products and equipment.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure all hygiene-related SOPs are integrated into daily operations.
- Monitor the effectiveness of sanitation and pest control measures and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Maintain detailed hygiene and inspection records, reports, and action plans.
- Coordinate with local health authorities during inspections or audits, ensuring all required documentation and procedures are up to date.
- Lead response and containment strategies for hygiene-related incidents or outbreaks (e.g., foodborne illnesses, infectious diseases).
- Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in hygiene technologies and products.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Environmental Health, Food Safety, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a hygiene management or similar role, preferably within the hospitality or F&B industry.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene regulations, health codes, and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Excellent communication and training skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office and hygiene audit software tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
