Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data solutions on the Azure platform. The role involves building optimized data pipelines, ensuring data security, and implementing governance frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams for analytics and reporting initiatives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake.
Design and implement scalable data solutions within Azure cloud services.
Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations with Power BI Report Server.
Optimize data pipelines and ensure data quality, privacy, and security.
Implement identity and access controls, encryption, and network security on Azure.
Develop and enforce data governance policies including data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management.
Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and standards.
Utilize SQL scripting and Python for data manipulation and process automation.
Work with Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, COSMOS DB, and Azure ML where needed.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Data Lake.
Experience with Power BI Report Server for building reports.
Proficiency in writing and modifying SQL scripts and queries.
Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering tasks.
Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, and COSMOS DB.
Knowledge of data security best practices within the Azure environment.
Experience with data governance, data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management.
Proven ability to implement secure data communication and serverless architecture security.

Desired Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience creating stored procedures in SQL.
Proficiency in .NET C# is a plus.
Experience with Azure Machine Learning services.
Azure certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate (required).
Databricks Machine Learning certification (preferred).
