Central Baptist Village is seeking a dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual care, emotional support, and pastoral services to our residents, staff, and families. Our Chaplain plays a key role in tending to our community’s emotional and spiritual well-being and offering residents support through their life journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer regular spiritual services, including worship, prayer groups, and devotionals.
- Provide one-on-one spiritual counseling and emotional support to residents, staff, and families.
- Support residents of all faiths and spiritual backgrounds with empathy, inclusivity, and respect.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to address residents' holistic well-being.
- Facilitate grief support, memorial services, and crisis response when needed.
- Participate in community events, holiday celebrations, and activity programming.
- Partner with the Marketing team on church outreach and spiritual education events.
Requirements
- Chaplaincy certification by an accredited institution or professional chaplaincy organization (Association of Professional Chaplains) and/or coursework in Clinical Pastoral Education required.
- Experience working with seniors, preferably in long-term care or healthcare settings, preferred.
- Affiliation with the North American Baptist Conference is a plus, but not required.
- Recognition that the Chaplain is on call to provide support to residents, staff, and families as the need arises.
- Strong interpersonal skills, listening skills, theological knowledge, and the ability to provide compassionate support in diverse settings.
- Ability to serve diverse faith traditions respectfully.
Salary: $65,000+, commensurate with experience
