Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Firmwide Operations includes Shared Services and Banking Operations (SSBO), Operations Risk and Regulatory Control, Global Project Group and Metrics, Branch Operations and Divisional Management. Shared Service and Banking Operations delivers industry leading operational solutions by aligning the right functions, people, processes and tools into ten core disciplines offering tailored client service levels that are efficient, controlled and compliant with regulation. Our core disciplines include: Asset Servicing, Cash Management, Client Data Management, Global Banking Services, Loans Servicing, Network Management, Payments (Wireless and Disbursements), Reconciliations, Settlements and Tax Operations. Operations Risk and Regulatory Control ensure adequate controls are in place, through providing an integrated risk and control framework to govern, assess, mitigate and manage financial and operational risk in Operations.

The Disclosure of Interest and Regulatory Reporting team (DOI) is a key component of Operations Risk and Regulatory Control and ensures the firm remains compliant with substantial shareholding and short position reporting requirements. DOI works closely with Operations, Technology, Finance, Compliance and Business Units to collect information, provide and implement guidance, implement controls and mitigate risk. We are looking for detail oriented self-starters who will challenge processes and controls, as well as be proactive in identifying and resolving issues. Bcom Graduation, MBA or degree in finance

Detailed Operations Role Description:
1. Statement of Role: This role supports EMEA Disclosure of Interest team which reside within Operations, Risk and Regulatory Control and supports Operations in the creation and submission of various regulatory disclosures for EMEA jurisdictions. These services allow Operations to fulfil some key regulatory requirements and play a role in the overall governance structure of Operations to managing operational risk & regulatory reporting through monitoring, analytics, and governance.
2. Why the role is necessary: This role is necessary in order to provide daily support to high-risk areas in ORRC for regulatory reporting & function. Team is focused on fulfilling regulatory requirements i.e. Takeover Panel Reporting, Subshare disclosure, Short Position Monitoring and MAR disclosure, as well as multiple other oversight functions to ensure Morgan Stanley is meeting reporting and disclosing in line with Regulations. With the continuous trend of increased reporting volume & with internal and external regulatory deadline it's crucial for the team to ensure issues are escalated timely manner. In addition to the current requirement within the team, we have ongoing deliverables Key BAU projects and unseen regulatory changes & volumes to be managed.
3. Impact of Not Hiring: Inability to hire will have a direct impact on team's ability to provide adequate support to certain key BAU and project deliverables and would impact the timeline of the existing projects and the team will not have bandwidth to deal with additional changes and volumes which will expose the team to regulatory and operational risks. The team will also be likely unable to respond timely to queries from regulator bodies and would lead to increase in number of incidents and non-recap operational failures.
