Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director-level Algorithm Developer to help the design, develop, and optimize electronic trading strategies for Hong Kong-listed equities. This role is pivotal in driving performance for our clients and improve results in our facilitation trading. We are focusing on the emphasis on execution quality, latency reduction, and market microstructure expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and enhancement of low-latency trading algorithms tailored to Hong Kong equity markets.
• Collaborate closely with sales traders and the IT team to deliver scalable and performant trading solutions.
• Analyze market data and trading performance to identify opportunities for strategy refinement and alpha generation.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and internal risk controls.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the strategic roadmap of the electronic trading platform.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in algorithmic trading development, preferably with a focus on Asian markets.
• Deep understanding of Hong Kong market microstructure, exchange protocols, and trading regulations.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or Java, with experience in low-latency systems and real-time data processing.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a background in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering high-performance trading strategies and systems.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience working with facilitation trading desks or risk-managed equities teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
