Sr. Specialist-EHS

Main purpose of the position Enforce compliance with EHS policies, programs, and standards, ensuring adherence to central and state regulations. Conduct audits, identify non-compliance, and recommend sustainable corrective actions. Monitor and drive completion of the identified corrective actions. Job Description Develops and implements the organization's positions on environmental policy issues regarding the impact of the organization's operations on water, air, and land quality.  Designs and implements programs to ensure healthful and safe working conditions and compliance with all environmental regulations, including clean air and waste disposal, on the organization's premises. Serves as a liaison with external government environmental agencies.  Monitors programs and maintains up-to-date records required by environmental permits to ensure government compliance. Designs, develops, implements, and oversees the organization's safety or preventive health care programs to safeguard employees.  Ensures that all facilities and safety equipment are in compliance with regulations and fire safety standards.  Determine and provide employees with safety training and/or medical care/nursing care for the comfort and well-being of employees. Conducts studies and investigations and prepares regular reports/statistics of e.g., accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and to develop recommendations for prevention. Develops and provides safety performance measures for monitoring. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of government safety and fire safety regulations or occupational health. Overlook the sites of the fire hydrant, fire extinguisher, MCP, smoke detector, and other emergency equipment. Responsible for three plants in Maharashtra (2 Palghar & 1 Pune). Travel 25% to Pune Compilation & reporting for EHS Data Responsibilities are within the Environmental Health and Safety Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. Lead, support, and represent internal & external safety & EHS certification audits for 3 factories. Qualification Graduate/Degree Diploma in relevant Fields + ADIS
