Job Description
He mea whakamiharo koe Senior Test Analyst? (Are you an amazing Senior Test Analyst?)
We’re looking for a talented professional to help us keep the good energy flowing.
We’re seeking for a seasoned Senior Test Analyst with strong communication skills and business analysis capability to join our Technology Portfolio and Programmes team on an 8-month fixed-term contract.
This is a unique opportunity to work across a diverse project landscape, supporting both testing and business analysis activities. You’ll help us uplift our QA maturity, embed pragmatic testing practices, and ensure our solutions deliver real value to the business.
Our delivery environment is heavily focused on COTS and SaaS product deployments — meaning our testing is less about building and more about validating, integrating, ensuring quality across vendor partnerships and supporting our business teams in conducting effective user acceptance testing.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and executing test activities across multiple projects and programmes.
- Supporting business analysis tasks such as requirements gathering, process mapping, and vendor engagement.
- Validating integrations, data quality, and system configurations.
- Supporting security and penetration testing efforts.
- Guiding business teams through UAT and release readiness.
- Contributing to the development of our QA Centre of Excellence and test practice uplift.
You’ll work closely with delivery teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure testing is fit-for-purpose, risk-aware, and aligned with our strategic goals.
This role can be based in Wellington or New Plymouth.
Qualifications
He aha tāu e kawe mai (What you will bring)
Along with your relevant qualifications (including ISTQB) and 6+ years’ experience providing in-depth knowledge of all aspects of software testing, you'll have:
- 6+ years’ experience in software testing, ideally in COTS/SaaS environments.
- Proven ability to flex between testing and business analysis roles.
- Strong understanding of integration testing, data validation, and security testing.
- Experience working with vendors and managing quality assurance across third-party solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills — you build trust, influence outcomes, and connect teams.
- A curious mindset and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Familiarity with DevOps, test automation, and defect management tools is desirable.

We’ll fuel your professional development, keep you at the top of your game and help you build the career you want. Our award-winning wellness programme recognises you’re more than the job you do and supports you with initiatives like an annual wellness grant and access to professional wellbeing services for you and your whānau.
