Get to Know the Team

The Regional Public Affairs team, reporting directly to the CEO, leads high-impact projects that align commercial and regulatory goals. The team partners with public sector stakeholders, supports national policy agendas, and drives initiatives that leverage technology for societal impact. This role offers direct exposure to senior leaders and cross-functional collaboration across Grab's business verticals.

• As part of a critical strategic team, you'll help navigate complex regulatory landscapes, engage with key stakeholders, and drive proactive, forward-thinking strategies. This role is ideal for a strategy professional interested in the intersection of tech and public policy, offering broad exposure and the chance to create meaningful change.
• You'll report to the Head of Regional Public Affairs and be based in Petaling Jaya, with travel across Southeast Asia as needed.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will lead end-to-end project delivery, aligning with business and regulatory needs while coordinating cross-functional teams for smooth execution.
• You will influence decision-making by aligning stakeholders across project phases.
• You will act as a thought partner to senior leaders, offering insights that enhance project outcomes.
• You will proactively address challenges beyond project scope to drive long-term improvements.
• You will collaborate with strategy teams to align commercial initiatives with regulatory goals.
• You will partner with product and strategy teams to adapt plans to evolving regulations.
• You will develop and implement advocacy strategies with public affairs and business teams.
• You will analyze policy issues and provide recommendations in partnership with country teams.
• You will align internal efforts on policy topics across departments.
• You will plan and execute thought leadership campaigns (e.g., forums, dialogues).
• You will build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders including governments, NGOs, and academics.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have 6 years of experience in project management to oversee complex multi-stakeholder initiatives, from planning to execution from problem statement and objective development, to planning, to execution; ability to define a clear set of problems / objectives to solve based on ambiguous / complex asks
• You have the interest in technology policy issues, including the ability to identify social and policy implications of business strategy
• You can bridge business and government objectives, translating interests to common ground and developing creative options for problem-solving
• You can translate perception challenges and goals into actionable thought leadership strategies and plans, encompassing key messages
• You have experience navigating dynamic situations to prioritise tasks and time - Experience in complex stakeholder management to drive understanding and buy-in across diverse teams
• You have experience presenting insights to senior leaders
