Job Description

Our team are creative and tenacious – and we’re looking for a Senior Game Programmer to join us in our studio based in Miramar, Wellington.

The role

In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with designers, artists, and fellow programmers to design and deliver high-quality, scalable game features and tools.

You’ll be:

Developing and maintaining gameplay systems
Mentoring junior programmers and lead core gameplay development
Driving code quality, system performance, and robust documentation
Hunting bugs, fixing issues, and optimising for performance
Staying on top of new tools, techniques, and coding standards

Our ideal candidate

We’re looking for someone with a good few years games industry experience behind them – with at least one shipped title to their name. Significant exposure to Unreal, and the ability to code in C++ are required, too.

You’ll be comfortable mentoring junior members of the team, have a deep understanding in at least one common game system and be familiar with industry standard source control solutions like Git. You will also be confident with games-related mathematics (eg physics and simulations, trig and geometry, logic and Boolean algebra etc)
