Job Description

Our team are creative and tenacious – and we’re looking for a Senior Game Programmer to join us in our studio based in Miramar, Wellington.

 

The role

In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with designers, artists, and fellow programmers to design and deliver high-quality, scalable game features and tools.

 

You’ll be:

  • Developing and maintaining gameplay systems
  • Mentoring junior programmers and lead core gameplay development
  • Driving code quality, system performance, and robust documentation
  • Hunting bugs, fixing issues, and optimising for performance
  • Staying on top of new tools, techniques, and coding standards

Our ideal candidate

We’re looking for someone with a good few years games industry experience behind them – with at least one shipped title to their name. Significant exposure to Unreal, and the ability to code in C++ are required, too.

You’ll be comfortable mentoring junior members of the team, have a deep understanding in at least one common game system and be familiar with industry standard source control solutions like Git. You will also be confident with games-related mathematics (eg physics and simulations, trig and geometry, logic and Boolean algebra etc)
